We are seeking an experienced Business Project Manager to lead and coordinate the next phase of a major global system migration programme within the insurance domain. This programme focuses on transitioning key business partners from legacy platforms to a new global system, ensuring seamless delivery, stakeholder alignment, and business readiness across multiple regions.
This is a business-focused project management role — while technical development is managed by external vendor teams, success in this position requires strong functional understanding, structured delivery capability, and the confidence to drive accountability across diverse stakeholder groups.
The role:
•
Lead and coordinate end-to-end migration activities from legacy systems to the new global platform.
•
Manage functional gap analysis between old and new systems, collaborating with internal subject matter experts.
•
Prepare and chair Steering Committee meetings, providing clear, concise, and insight-driven status updates.
•
Maintain and manage RAID logs, proactively escalating issues and highlighting risks or delays.
•
Drive delivery accountability across IT, business, and vendor teams through structured governance.
•
Collaborate with central IT and local business units to align timelines, testing, and readiness activities.
•
Support user acceptance testing, feature validation, and overall business readiness ahead of go-live.
Key Skills and Experience:
To succeed in this role you will need:
•
5+ years’ experience managing IT transformation or migration projects, ideally within insurance, automotive, or financial services sectors.
•
Proven success in multi-country project delivery and stakeholder management across internal and vendor organisations.
•
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and hold senior stakeholders to account.
•
Experience overseeing system migrations, customer onboarding, or platform transitions.
•
Solid understanding of functional business processes and the ability to identify and track gaps effectively.
•
Demonstrated experience in governance reporting, RAID management, and project control frameworks.
•
Highly organised, proactive, and personable, with strong attention to structure and follow-through.
